Project Flourish on 3sat
High-tech on the sugar beet field: A team of reporters from the science programme "Nano" on 3sat accompanied researchers from the Institute of Agricultural Sciences (IAS) in their field work with robots and drone. A report about the "Flourish" project, which Frank Liebisch and his team are currently carrying out at the field phenotyping facility of the ETH research station Lindau.
Huge interest in the world of data
The fifth Scientifica 2017 from 1 to 3 September also showed research projects from the Department of Environmental Systems Science (D-USYS). With a total of more than 30,000 visitors, the ETH Zurich and the University of Zurich were awarded with a great audience.
Agrovet-Strickhof officially opened
ETH Zurich, the University of Zurich and the canton of Zurich today held an official opening ceremony at Agrovet-Strickhof, their joint collaboration in the livestock sector. The modern facilities will allow the participating ETH professorships to conduct interdisciplinary research with direct links to agricultural practice. Open days are to be held on the weekend of 2–3 September.
