Hans Vontobel Prize

Dr. Hans Vontobel († 2016) established the Hans Vontobel Prize for Agricultural Sciences at ETH Zurich back in 1989. Nature, animals and agriculture were very close to his heart. From early on, he recognized the importance of this field of research for the conservation of nature and animal welfare. This motivated him to promote young scientists who are engaged in agricultural research. As a result, the Hans Vontobel Prize was created to award particularly valuable research in the field of Agricultural Science at ETH Zurich.
