Erosion - a carbon sink or source?

Is erosion a carbon sink or source? A new study published in Nature Climate Change co-authored by Johan Six, Group of Sustainable Agroeocsystems, sheds further light on the question and they find that 1/3 of the carbon emissions from land cover change is offset by human-induced erosion.
